Dr. Richard Hyong-Do Lee Memorial Well
A message from Aaron J. Reinicke, We Get Water
Richard Lee, a physician in New Hampshire for the past 30 years, was a dear friend of mine and WeGetWater.org. His unexpected and premature death this week was a shock. In the too short 1 ½ years I knew him, I came to quickly know we were a lot alike. We enjoy the outdoors and pushing ourselves to be fit physically, relationally and spiritually. We hiked rim to rim in the Grand Canyon with a small group to raise money for a well in Africa and he contributed greatly to that project.
Richard was a very committed family man to his wife Soojin, their son Isaiah, their daughter Sylvie, her husband Kyle and their two children Yenna and Junoh.
His family has encouraged those who want to give something in remembrance of him to contribute to We Get Water. 100% of the donations go to the well.
The first well project to honor Richard’s memory will be in the country of Kenya where he made several mission trips to serve those in need. This is consistent with his passion to help others, his inherent kindness, and his lifelong faith in Christ. His life was a living example of the Bible verse Ephesians 4:32 – “And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ”.
